A SENSE of duty is what is keeping a Singaporean behind in Fukushima City where the troubled nuclear power plant is located. Mr Terrence Neo, 36, who lives 60km from the beleaguered power station with his Japanese wife, has no plans to come home or even go to a city or town farther away. In fact, the day after the earthquake struck, Mr Neo - who works for a Japanese company that deals with used car parts - went right back to work. 'I am still responsible to my company. The people who wanted to leave, left. The company is short-handed. We have to salvage whatever equipment we can,' he said in a phone interview on Saturday. 'I saw on the news that foreigners have been leaving their jobs here and returning to their home countries. How can the Japanese trust us after that?' He has been living in Fukushima with his 32-year-old wife since 2007. She works at a local radio station...
