Bedok residents, look out for this logo & save when you spend

SINGAPORE - Bedok residents can now eat in their estate without feeling the pinch - until September at least. Some 120 stalls in two of the area's hawker centres have pledged to maintain food prices stable for six months, as the Retail Price Watch Group (RPWG) offically launched its logo yesterday. Distributed to businesses which support RPWG's cause by maintaining prices or offering cheaper alternatives, the logo display stickers will help consumers identify these businesses. Under RPWG's initiative, which is supported by the Singapore Bedok Town Centre Merchant's Association, the participating hawkers stalls in Bedok make up about 85 per cent of those in the Bedok North Block 216 and Kampong Chai Chee Block 207 food centres.
