Security label to deter bike thieves: Cyclists can now stick a small tamper-proof security label on their bicycl...

Cyclists can now stick a small tamper-proof security label on their bicycles. Produced by American company 3M Technologies, the label, which cannot be torn off easily, comes embedded with a serial code which the police can use to track down missing bikes. Currently, the labels are only for people living in Tampines, which became Singapore's first cycling town last March. Residents can check with Tampines or Changi Neighbourhood Police Centres for the collection of the free labels.
