SINGAPORE: SingTel which recently renewed its sponsorship for the Singapore GP for another two years till 2012, announced on Tuesday a slew of initiatives to ramp up the action for this year's race. To better connect with the general community, especially those in the heartlands, all 19 F1 races will be shown in the heartlands on giant TV screens in 3D and HD, starting with the season opening Australian GP. This will kick off in Sengkang and move to different parts of Singapore for each race. Heartlanders can also set their own speed records beyond the motor racing sort, like in cup stacking or even durian eating. A go-kart programme for youths is also on the cards.
