More than 5 in 10 of Singaporean survey respondents prepared to relocate to another country to work

SINGAPORE - Singaporeans are scanning the horizon when they look for jobs. According to a survey by recruitment firm Kelly Services, almost nine in 10 Singaporean respondents said they are willing to move within the country in order to secure their preferred job. More than five in 10 of the Singaporean respondents were prepared to relocate to another country or continent to work. The findings are part of the Kelly Global Workforce Index. The survey, conducted between October last year and January, had 97,000 respondents in 30 countries, including 900 in Singapore. The most desirable destination for globe-trotting Singaporean job-seekers is another country in the Asia-Pacific region (41 per cent), well ahead of Europe (26 per cent), North America (16 per cent), the Middle East (5 per cent), and South America (2 per cent).
