Ruyi, a new Chinese fast food outlet that whips up dim sum, fried chicken wings as well as rice & noodle dishes

SINGAPORE - Few gourmands would associate Chinese cuisine with the fast food concept but TungLok Group has shaken things up and is now serving up this new variety to food lovers. It has opened Ruyi, a Chinese fast food outlet (and Singapore's first) that whips up an array of delectable dim sum, fried chicken wings as well as rice and noodle dishes. Already a renowned name in the F&B industry, the TungLok Group owns a chain of highly successful Chinese restaurants. So, operating another restaurant would be a breeze, one would have thought. Yet, running a fast food outlet is not simply running a restaurant of a smaller scale. Says Mr Andrew Tjioe, executive chairman of the TungLok Group, "With Ruyi, we have to tackle constraints that previously weren't an issue." One of these constraints is space.
