- Campaigning via podcasts, videocasts, blogs, Twitter, MMS, Flickr, Facebook and mobile applications. Candidates must declare the platforms they intend to use - Election advertising through chain mails and mobile phone text messages - Distribution of live recordings of election activities, such as rallies - Singaporeans can participate in Internet election advertising without declaring their particulars What won’t be allowed: - Displaying “any badge, symbol, set of colours, flags, advertisement, handbill, placard or posters as political propaganda” on Cooling-Off Day and Polling Day. These are seizable offences. - Publishing false statements about the character or conduct of a candidate. The penalty is a fine or jail time of up to 12 months, or both.
