Said to work miracles on chronic pain conditions like arthritis, the pills have caused two middle-aged women to fall ill with Cushing's Syndrome, a hormonal disorder caused by long-term steroid use. Other dangers of steroids include high blood pressure, lowered immunity and increased blood sugar levels which, in turn, can lead to diabetes.
