After hearing sample from SG artistes' fundraising album, Japan promises to return $500K donations to be spared.

Mr Takizawa Jiu Jian, artistic director of arts company Ko-nen Creative and producer of the CD, hopes to raise $50,000 from sales of the 2,500 copies of the album. -- ST PHOTO: CAROLINE CHIA MORE than 30 local artists have come together to produce a CD to raise funds for survivors of the Japan earthquake through the Singapore Red Cross Society. The CD, titled Touch of Gold, will retail for $20 at 27 Popular bookstores from Monday. All proceeds will go towards the Red Cross Japan Disaster fund. The album features compositions by local singer-songwriter Mr Takizawa Jiu Jian and talents such as xinyao composer Liang Wern Fook, artist Edmund Chen and music ensemble Tang Quartet. Mr Takizawa, artistic director of arts company Ko-nen Creative and producer of the CD, hopes to raise $50,000 from sales of the 2,500 copies of the album.
