Now add a banned film to the list. Last month, more than 300 Singaporeans converged on a hotel in this city on the southern tip of peninsular Malaysia to watch “To Singapore, With Love,” a film about a group of people who went into exile that was recently banned in Singapore on the grounds that it undermined national security. Overwhelmed organizers hung bedsheets on the walls to serve as extra screens. ...
