Sponsorship of world c'ship crosses $1m mark

SINGAPORE - Organisers of the July 3-10 Mission Foods World Netball Championships at the Singapore Indoor Stadium here have secured more than S$1 million in cash and kind, exceeding their sponsorship target of S$800,000 by 25 per cent. Their stable of sponsors and partners include Mission Foods, which contributed S$450,000, the Singapore Tourism Board, M1, FairPrice Foundation, Energizer, Huttons Asia, Swissotel the Stamford & Fairmont, Playmore, Toshiba, Gilbert and Stamford Catering. Total ticket revenue has hit S$1.5 million, with the eight-day platinum and three-day gold packages, priced at S$550 and S$380, respectively, sold out.
