"According to a recent study, Singapore is ranked the worst for its environmental impact on a per capita basis."

Pollution is enevitable in cities and comes in many forms . From excessive raw material and energy consumption to the lifestyle and density of its population . Having the second highest population density in the world has its downside . Also the excessive concreting,tarmacing,land reclamation,use of air conditioning with little or no insulation or double glazing , and allowing big cars especially SUV’s , all this leads to pollution. Basically Singapore has been sacrificed for the sake of GDP , and things will get worse with the projected 6 million population. Unfortunatley Singaporeans and its government have become city dwellers and no longer understand what is real ecology,pollution and nature. One classic example is over concreting . Rain used to sink in the soil and resurge from sources slowly , and flow to reservoirs .Today rain runs quickly off the concrete to drains...
