Madrasah woos parents with innovative way of learning

The new Madrasah Al-Irsyad Al-Islamiah building. The madrasah, which has been the quickest to adopt new technologies, showcased some of them at its open house to attract parents of prospective Primary 1 pupils on Saturday. -- PHOTO: MUIS BEFORE and after classes, pupils at the Madrasah Al-Irsyad Al-Islamiah rush to form queues at any one of 20 game kiosks spread around the school's compound. These kiosks feature only one game - 'Anaritius: Maths Mercenary', a programme designed to leverage on the pupils' innate competitiveness and love of video games to improve mathematics skills. The madrasah, which has been the quickest to adopt new technologies, showcased some of them at its open house to attract parents of prospective Primary 1 pupils on Saturday.
