Kindness Movement begins promoting 'kindness to environment'

SINGAPORE: The annual Kindness Week aims to go a step further this year by reminding residents that acts of kindness should also extend to their environment. Organised by youths from Siglap South Community Centre and the People's Association Youth Movement, the event hopes to build a more compassionate society among the younger generation. One of the highlights of the Kindness Week is a flea market at Upper East Coast Road, taking place for the second time since its launch last year. Many of the vendors are Joo Chiat residents trying their hand at running a small enterprise. One of the residents was selling plants from her garden, while another was expanding her fashion blog to the bazaar.
