CANBERRA - Chinese intelligence agencies may be among those responsible for accessing the emails of senior Australian officials, including Prime Minister Julia Gillard, during a one-month period starting February, Australia's Daily Telegraph newspaper reported, without revealing its source. An investigation was started into the possible hacking of the parliamentary computers of at least 10 ministers, including Ms Gillard, Foreign Minister Kevin Rudd and Defence Minister Stephen Smith, the newspaper said, citing unidentified senior government officials. Thousands of email may have been accessed, it added. "We won't comment on security matters," Ms Gillard told reporters in Perth yesterday when asked about the email during a media conference.
