[TR] Why TR has higher readership than TOC

A quick look at Alexa and Google Analytics will obviously tell us that Temasek Review (TR) has more readership and popularity than The Online Citizen (TOC). Here are what I believe are some of the reasons: 1. TR posts several articles daily. TOC lags behind by posting 1 or 2 articles a day and sometimes doesn’t even post anything new. 2. TR allows almost anyone to submit articles to them via a contact form, which is much easier and seemingly more anonymous then logging into one’s email account and sending an article in. 3. TR also has a rather relaxed editorial policy, which results in almost anyone to have their opinions read by its vast readership. When an ordinary netizen with less-than-perfect language skills or political acumen sees his/her article published on TR, the person feels like their views are respected at last, and they are encouraged to write more.
