Netball: Singapore team to travel to Africa for training stint.

SINGAPORE: An African trip has been planned for the Singapore netball players ahead of the 2011 World Netball Championships. The trip would provide the Singapore team with good practice as the city-state is in Pool C for the World Championships, together with two African nations, South Africa and Botswana. Jamaica is the final team in the group. But ahead of that, the Singapore team is getting valuable practice with six foreign players who are here for a five-week stint. Two of the foreign players are from Fiji and 2 from Papua New Guinea. However, one of the two players from Tanzania is injured. They have been in Singapore for the past 2 weeks and all of them play in different teams in the Netball Super League.
