Students, staff in Kuala Lumpur carry water in fear of acid attacks: Kuala Lumpur (The Star/ANN)

Kuala Lumpur (The Star/ANN) - More students in the Bangsar area in Malaysia have started carrying bottles of water to school in case they become victims of the acid splashers, who have been terrorising residences over the past month. A teacher, who wished to remain anonymous, said students and staff of her school had been living in fear of what danger lay outside the school compound since late February, when the first known attack happened. "I've noticed more students carrying bottles containing water to school as a precaution. "If they are splashed with an unknown liquid, they can immediately wash it off with water," she said. Every day, students and staff leaving the school feared they would be the next victim, said the teacher. The teacher said many schools in the Brickfields district had conducted regular safety talks and held discussions with students and school staff...
