More support to be given to infocomm students for international competitions: IDA

SINGAPORE - Recognising the importance of exposing students to international competitions, the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore will be giving support to Singapore infocomm students taking part in international legs. This new format of the National Infocomm Competition (NIC) was announced today by Acting Minister for Community Development, Youth and Sports Chan Chun Sing. Speaking at the launch of this year's annual competition, Mr Chan who's also the Minister of State for Information, Communications and the Arts, highlighted one such project by a group of Temasek Polytechnic students that competed internationally. The students invented an application that seeks to complement current methods of stroke rehabilitation. The application, which can be installed at home, comes with games that aim to make rehabilitation fun and interactive, and less costly. The project...
