SINGAPORE : Two more schools in Singapore have joined a programme to develop tech-savvy educators. Nan Chiau Primary and Ngee Ann Secondary are the latest "FutureSchools", bringing the total to eight. The Education Ministry said these institutions will lead in developing innovative teaching methods, with the use of technology. Nan Chiau Primary was chosen for redesigning its curriculum, to make it accessible on a mobile platform. The school entrusts its students with netbooks and smartphones. This allows them to access learning materials whether they are in or out of campus. The innovation, together with those from 56 other schools, was exhibited at an education festival on Friday.
