SINGAPORE - The number of investors who plan to diversify beyond their home markets is set to rise globally over the next decade, and Singaporeans will lead the pack, according to a survey by Franklin Templeton Investments. The Franklin Templeton Global Investor Sentiment Survey found that three in four Singaporeans, the highest among all markets, plan to invest globally over the next decade, compared to less than half who currently do so. Globally, one in three respondents currently invest outside of their domestic market but the survey found that a larger proportion - up to half - plan to do so by the end of this year. That figure grows further to 62 per cent, or almost two in three, over the next decade. The survey was conducted in 12 countries in Asia, Europe and the Americas and involved 13,076 respondents.
