Nan Chiau Primary & Ngee Ann Secondary are the latest "FutureSchools"

Two more schools in Singapore have joined a programme to develop tech-savvy educators, called [email protected] Nan Chiau Primary and Ngee Ann Secondary are the latest "FutureSchools" - bringing the group count to eight. The Ministry of Education (MOE) said these institutions will lead in developing innovative teaching methods, with the use of technology. Nan Chiau Primary was chosen for redesigning its curriculum, to make it accessible on a mobile platform. The school entrusts its students with netbooks and smartphones, allowing them to access learning materials whether they're in or out of campus. The innovation, together with those of 56 other schools, was exhibited at an education festival on Friday attended by Senior Minister of State for Education S Iswaran.
