49% of Singapore-based firms plan to invest or increase investments in Vietnam over the next three years

It found that 49 per cent of the 120 senior and middle managers polled at Singapore-based firms said their companies planned to invest or increase investments in Vietnam over the next three years. -- ST PHOTO: ALPHONSUS CHERN VIETNAM, Malaysia and Indonesia are the most popular investment destinations within Asean among Singapore firms, according to a new survey. It found that 49 per cent of the 120 senior and middle managers polled at Singapore-based firms said their companies planned to invest or increase investments in Vietnam over the next three years. Malaysia was also a popular destination, with 46 per cent saying they will invest there over the next three years, and 45 per cent said they would do the same in Indonesia. The respondents were allowed to give multiple responses. The least popular locations were Laos, Brunei and Myanmar - less than 10 per cent of respond...
