Motorcycle snatch thief arrested by police: SINGAPORE - A 44-year-old snatch thief who used a stolen motorcycle
SINGAPORE - A 44-year-old snatch thief who used a stolen motorcycle to commit his crimes has been caught. The suspect had snatched the handbag of a woman who was walking along Akyab Road. He then sped off on the motorcycle. After investigation, officers from Tanglin Police Division established his identity and arrested him at his home. Investigations also revealed that the suspect had stolen the motorcycle which he used to commit the snatch-theft. The suspect will be charged in Court for Snatch Theft and Theft of a Motor Vehicle under the Penal Code. If found guilty, he faces a jail term of up to 7 years and caning. The police advised motorcycle owners to park at well-lit areaa and lock their motorcycle before leaving. They should also secure their motorcycle using additional strong locks.
