SINGAPORE - The Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) has suspended all army field training for five days until Tuesday, following the death of a full-time national serviceman (NSF) - the fourth SAF member to die in camp or at a training area this year. The SAF has also suspended the commanders overseeing the exercise. The latest suspension is the longest to date. In 2008, a three-day time-out was called after two servicemen died. Mindef last suspended all field training last year when a one-day time-out was called after the training death of an NSF.
