ANN ARBOR, Michigan: Michael Phelps went two-for-two on the opening day of the Eric Namesnik Michigan Grand Prix Friday with victories in the 200m freestyle and 100m butterfly. Phelps, a 14-time Olympic champion, overcame the disadvantage of an outside line and came from behind to beat Ryan Lochte in the 200m free, surging in the final 30 meters to win in 1:48.45. Lochte, who qualified second-fastest, was second in 1:48.69 and Austria's Markus Rogan earned third in 1:49.23. "Both of us hate to lose," Phelps said of his rivalry with Lochte. "He's somebody who has made a lot of improvements in and out of the pool and it shows in all of his races. "I didn't know we were going to take it down to the end.
