Leslie Liew Cheong Wee, 36, was also fined a total of $30,000 on Tuesday on six computer misuse charges. The Singapore permanent resident, found guilty last month after a 14-day trial, is appealing against the conviction and jail term. He is out on $30,000 bail. Liew, who had hacked into the MBS computer network between May 9 and 12 that year from his Teck Whye Lane home, failed to give a cogent and credible explanation for doing what he did.
