Mr Garcia, 36, has spent the past nine years cycling through Africa, Europe and most of Asia. He was in Singapore for nine days last month. He made a stopover in Singapore last week and shared highlights from his journey so far. The desert is located about 100m below sea level. Temperatures can reach as high as 60 deg C. And Mr Garcia, 36, had run out of water. Fortunately, he spotted two trucks carrying French army troops who were training in the area.
