SINGAPORE - The sport of table tennis has enjoyed tremendous success in recent years, with the Singapore women's team the reigning world champions and Olympic silver medallists. But Singapore Table Tennis Association (STTA) president Lee Bee Wah is not one to rest on her laurels - her NSA raised S$700,000 at a fund-raising dinner at the Shangri-la Hotel on Friday night as part of the STTA's 80th anniversary celebrations. The money will go towards various national youth programmes to grow the sport's talent pool. Impressively, the STTA have signed sponsorship deals worth a total of S$2.25 million over the last 12 months, including tie-ups with 100PLUS and Mitsubishi Electric Asia, and Lee said: " ...
