Tepco says Fukushima water pumps working fine after latest quake, but reinstated evacuation orders for checks

This handout picture taken by Tokyo Electric Power Co (Tepco) shows Tepco staff and disaster relief team leaders gathered. Tepco says workers and engineers at the Fukushima Daiichi and Daini nuclear plants have been ordered to evacuate after a quake hit north-eastern Japan. -- PHOTO: AFP TOKYO - THE operator of the crippled Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant said pumps to inject water into the plant's No. 1, 2, and 3 reactors are working without irregularities following a magnitude 6.3 earthquake that hit Japan's north-east on Tuesday. But Tokyo Electric Power Co (Tepco) reinstated evacuation orders for its workers and engineers at the plant for further checks. Earlier, it briefly scrapped the orders as there was no tsunami after the quake. -- REUTERS
