Socialist Front pulling out of elections

THE youngest political party here is pulling out of the race for the coming polls, it announced on Friday. The Socialist Front does not want to engage in any three-cornered fights in the upcoming General Election, its secretary-general Chia Ti Lik said at a press conference. But party chairman Ng Teck Siong, who did not attend the conference, has already announced his intention to stand in the Mountbatten single-member constituency, which the National Solidarity Party is eyeing.
