NEW YORK - A CBS 60 Minutes investigation has alleged that the inspirational and multi-million seller book Three Cups of Tea is filled with inaccuracies. It also claims that numerous schools in Pakistan and Afghanistan, which co-author Greg Mortenson's charitable organisation is said to have established, either do not exist or were built by others. The report, which was set to air yesterday night on CBS television, cites Into The Wild author Jon Krakauer as among the doubters of Mr Mortenson's story of being lost in 1993 while mountain-climbing in rural Pakistan and stumbling upon the village of Korphe, where the kindness of locals inspired him to build a school.
