This resulted in an expanded story that really draws the audience into the plot and lets them understand why the characters behave the way they do as well as better explain how the characters in the show are connected. Of course, the story alone would not have made "881 The Musical" as entertaining as it is. The cast did a brilliant job bringing their characters to life. Tan’s strong vocals and Dong’s silky smooth voice really fit their character. The pair managed to put in a lot of emotion into the musical's new songs, which were already very catchy to begin with, and made the songs 'earworms' that stick in your head long after the curtain falls. Ho and Luo gave a commendable performance though Ho's discomfort with Mandarin sometimes shows up when he sings. Chew deserves special mention as the flamboyant fist pumping Duah Gee, who has a penchant for letting out Micheal Ja...
