COE premiums have held steady in the latest tender exercise closed on Wednesday

The COE premium for cars above 1,600cc (Category B) ended at $56,801 - a rise of $1,800 (from $55,001) or 3.3 per cent. For the Open category COEs - which can be used for any vehicle type but which typically end up being used mainly for bigger cars - the premium registered a 1.9 per cent fall to $56,001 (from $57,100 ). Premiums for the popular cars of up to 1,600cc (Category A), rose to $44,000 from $43,212, or by 1.8 per cent. Motorcycle premiums have also risen, landing at $2,502 from $2,490. Commercial vehicle COE premiums ended lower at $23,900, from $28,189.
