The slowness of the [email protected] network has been a major bugbear among users since its launch six years ago. Difficulty in getting online and the failure of webpages to load quickly are problems that have persisted, despite access speed having been doubled to 1Mbps in 2009. To address this, two of the three [email protected] operators - iCell Network and M1 - have started switching the network's backend links to fibre broadband.
