ほんまでっか! 明日からシンガポールでは電気代が下がります。世界的に天然ガス価格が安くなり、火力発電のコストが低下したため。日本の皆さんごめん。

SINGAPORE - Electricity tariffs will decrease by an average 2.5 per cent for the next three months, beginning July 1. SP Services attributed the cheaper tariffs to lower natural gas prices, which have resulted in lower power generation costs. The average fuel oil price from April 1 to June 15 this year dropped by 4.6 per cent from S$136.37 to S$130.10 per barrel. This resulted in a corresponding decrease in the price of natural gas because it is pegged to the fuel oil price. As a result, the average monthly electricity bill for those living in four-room HDB flats will decrease by S$2.69. CHANNEL NEWSASIA
