@Rozie, it is obvious to all that this is a shortcut, slipshot way of addressing the problem. We need to address the root of the problem not just some fanciful radical idea like what is proposed by our Minister. The root of the problem for language is many a times linked to the lack of effort on the part of the parents to educate their kids. There maybe a myriad of reasons for that and the amount of free time could be the key issue. Language forms the basis of its inherent culture and that should be preserved as much as possible in its purest form. Parents play a key role to educate their kids and not just entirely rely on the schools alone. Quality time and communication between parents and their children is essential to teach them the values and pass on the value of their cultural roots.
