$500m makeover for Sembawang GRC #SGelections
SEMBAWANG GRC will get a $500 million makeover over the next five years, costing some $500 million. Health Minister Khaw Boon Wan, who is leading the People's Action Party's five-member constituency in Sembawang in the coming general election, launched the five-year renewal plan for the GRC on Saturday morning. The plan will see 150 blocks of HDB flats slated for Home Improvements (HIP) and another 168 blocks for neighbourhood upgrading (NRP). Mr Khaw said another 5,500 new homes will be built and these will be a mix of HDB flats, private condominiums and and landed property. On top of that, the Sembawang Town council will be upgrading homes, improving parks and expanding the cycling tracks.
