Manufacturing shift will cost job losses: Grace Fu

A SHIFT out of manufacturing into services as proposed by the Singapore Democratic Party will see jobs lost in the services sector, cautioned the People's Action Party's likely candidate for the single-seat ward of Yuhua. She disclosed that the Economic Strategies Committee she had been part of had studied other countries and found that if a country outsourced manufacturing entirely, it would lose services work too.
