To better meet the expectations of this new group, a committee was tasked in 2011 to relook the club's offerings and come up with new ideas for the next five years. On Thursday night, Defence Minister Ng Eng Hen, who conceded that he no longer knows 'what is hip', said: 'What appeals to me may have zero appeal to the new generation of NSmen... we need to adapt and reinvent ourselves.'
