Woman arrested in connection to buried baby

SINGAPORE - Police have arrested a 27-year-old woman in connection with the case of the unidentified newborn baby boy who was found buried alive in a flower bed in a rooftop garden in Eunos Crescent. The unidentified baby, with a plastic bag wound around his neck, was found by a retiree who was having a smoke atop multi-storey carpark Block 31A last Monday ( 18 April) at about 2.10 pm when he heard a mewing noise, To his horror, he found the baby buried in a shallow grave. The infant's mouth was stuffed with mud and dried leaves, and he still had his umbilical cord attached. Police conducted extensive enquiries and on Sunday, officers from Bedok Police Division managed to establish the identity of the suspect and arrested her in the vicinity of Eunos MRT.
