More people under the age of 15 in Singapore are taking up parkour, a local veteran estimates

There has been a 30 per cent jump in parkour enthusiasts under age 15 here over the last five years, estimates a local veteran of the extreme sport. Doctors say there is little additional risk to the young if proper techniques are learnt. -- ST PHOTO: DESMOND LIM PRIMARY 6 pupil Anthony Tan finishes school at about 2pm every day. But instead of heading home, he spends his afternoons practising vaulting over railings and low parapets around his housing estate in Bedok. The 12-year-old does this five times a week for about two to three hours at a go. He is one of a group of increasingly young people who are learning parkour.
