SINGAPORE - The Prime Minister of Japan has penned a letter to the Republic of Singapore for help rendered during the triple tragedy of March 11. Singapore had sent emergency relief supplies such as blankets, mattresses, bottled water, water containers and food stuffs worth approximately S$300,000 to help deal with the earthquake, tsunami and nuclear meltdown. Search specialists and search dogs were also deployed to help Japan deal with the disasters. In addition, the Singapore Red Cross donated S$500,000 towards relief efforts.
