Younger faces for SDA in Pasir Ris-Punggol
THE proposed team leader for the opposition team contesting Pasir Ris-Punggol GRC has dropped out of the race. Management consultant Goh Kim Seng, 66, did not turn up at Bedok View Secondary School in Bedok South on Wednesday morning with his other Singapore Democratic Alliance team members. Mr Goh is being replaced by a younger face - 35-year-old senior analyst Jeffrey Lim. Earlier that day, SDA secretary-general Desmond Lim told The Straits Times that it was looking at changing the line-up 'to appeal to younger supporters'. The original team of six initially had half of them over the age of 50 - Mr Goh at 66 years old was the oldest. The five other remaining members are: Mr Harminder Pal Singh, 39; Mr Mohammad Shafni Ahmad, 32; Mr Patrick Lee, 65; Mr Sidney Soon, 54; and Mr Tony Tan Keng Hong, 34. Mr Harminder Pal Singh, a motivational speaker, will now be team leader.
