LONDON: Gu Juan has booked herself a berth in the badminton women's singles knock-out rounds of the Olympics, after taking down Australia's Victoria Na 21-10, 21-7 in a comprehensive victory that took just 25 minutes. The Singaporean shuttler also won her earlier group stage preliminary match against Monika Fasungova of Slovakia. She said: "My opponents so far have not been very strong so I don't think I can say I'm doing well. My real test starts now." She is likely to play Chinese Taipei's Cheng Shao-chieh next in the round of 16.
