Singapore programme for budding young scientists

IT'S A programme for budding young scientists across the nation. From July, students with an interest in science will be able to meet each other every week under a new programme by the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*Star), Science Centre Singapore and Ministry of Education. Called the Singapore Academy for Young Engineers and Scientists (Sayes), the programme will feature weekly activities such as seminars by Nobel Prize winners, workshops on forensic science and perfume-making and competitions. Students will also get access to equipment from the Science Centre and A*Star and mentors from the science industry here. The programme is funded by A*Star and is considered an official co-curricular activity for those who sign up.
