THE Workers' Party (WP) says Singapore needs a co-driver but its bid to win a group representation constituency (GRC) will weaken the team which leads the country, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong warned on Friday night. Singapore needs to get its politics right so that it has an effective government that can deliver on good policies, make the right choices for the future and foster serious debate in Parliament, he said. The WP's call to Singaporeans to elect more opposition Members of Parliament to be a co-driver is thus 'dangerous'. 'It's bad for you, it's bad for Singapore. They think it's good for the Workers' Party, but I don't think it's a good idea for you,' Mr Lee said, speaking during a rally in Ang Mo Kio GRC.
