TODAYonline | Singapore Votes | Not for voters to 'repent', but losing party to reflect via @TODAYonline

I am compelled to write in response to Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew's recent comment that in the event the People's Action Party loses Aljunied GRC, voters there would have five years to live and repent. I see that as a discredit to our ability as voters to make an informed and rational choice. This election is meant for Singaporeans to choose and elect their leaders for the next five years, possibly longer. I'm 30 years old, and I consider myself lucky that GE2011 represents the chance to vote for the second time in my life - knowing that many of my fellow Singaporeans, some older than me, are going to the polls for the very first time. I am also confident that like me, many of them are taking this GE very seriously and by the time Polling Day comes around, would have given sufficient thought to who we would like to represent our interests not just at constituency but nat...
