WP's 'seductive gloss' masks true intentions: Lim

TRANSPORT Minister Raymond Lim on Sunday night dismissed the Workers Party's appeal to voters as 'seductive gloss' that masks their true intentions. The WP has been saying it wanted be an alternative voice for Singaporeans, but Mr Lim accused it of wanting to eventually take over government. 'Voters must see this ambition for what it is,' he told the crowd of around 4,000 at the People's Action Party's first rally for East Coast GRC 'It is their future they want to secure, not yours,' he said at Bedok Stadium, adding that this was why the WP team did not have any concrete plans for the constituency. In contrast, the PAP could offer East Coast's 120,324 voters firm plans such as a new MRT line and revitalisation of Bedok town centre.
