JOB seekers hoping to make their CVs stand out may want to consider stepping in front of a camera. Launched recently, local job portal Prevview is centred around video resumes. It hopes to help both applicants and hirers by providing a platform for posting and viewing video resumes. Job seekers looking to differentiate themselves will deliver their pitches on camera, and employers can speed up the hiring process by evaluating candidates through these clips, which Prevview calls "visumes". Prevview argues that video resumes can give employers a better idea of the candidate's communication skills through his or her presentations. "Via their visume, they can differentiate themselves better, showcase their personality and soft skills, strengths, creativity and accomplishments. They should also use the opportunity to tell employers why they should be hired," said Prevview found...
